Sven joined LBBW Landesbank Baden-Württemberg in Mar 2014 as Divisional Head of Special Assets where he covers Workouts and Recoveries comprising various asset classes and regions. Between Jun 2018 and Mai 2021 he was additionally in charge of Risk Management CRE & Project Finance (performing assets).
From Aug 2010 to Feb 2014 he was Global Head of Credit & Global Head of Workout at Erste Abwicklungsanstalt, the state-owned Agency for winding down all assets of former WestLB. The portfolio, which peaked at EUR 120bn, comprised assets in the field of Corporates, Leverage Loans, Project Finance, Structured Products and Commercial and Residential Real Estate.
In 2009 and 2010 he was active as Managing Director / Geschäftsführer at Close Brothers Deutschland GmbH (now: DC Advisory), responsible for Debt Advisory & Restructuring. From 1991 to 2009 he held various senior roles at Deutsche Bank AG’s Workout and Restructuring units in Germany, Jakarta / Indonesia, Singapore, and, from 2004 to 2009 in London as Deutsche Bank AG’s Head of Workout Europe.
Sven holds a Diploma in economics from University of Hohenheim, Germany. He holds the German and the Swiss citizenship.
